To become a “Verified Sitter” on Liesl, you don’t need a specific qualification. Here’s what you should have before getting started:
At least 18 years old.
Insurance coverage (liability insurance including coverage for “occasional dog sitting”).
A genuine love for dogs and practical experience handling them.

Fair play principle: Our platform thrives on trust between dog owners, sitters, and Liesl. Therefore, bookings and payments must always be processed through the platform. Direct arrangements outside of Liesl are not permitted — to protect everyone involved and ensure quality.

You can set your availability flexibly via the calendar / availability feature in your Liesl profile in the app and adjust it whenever needed.
Note: It is important to keep your calendar up to date and review and update it regularly.
Payments are processed securely and automatically through the Liesl platform using Stripe Connect Express.
To receive payments, you need to create your own Stripe Connect Express account. This is quick to set up and is directly linked to your Liesl profile. Stripe ensures that your earnings are paid out reliably and in compliance with regulations to your preferred bank account — usually within a few days after the care service is completed.

A complete and appealing profile with a good photo, detailed information, and positive reviews increases your chances of getting bookings.
Use the Meet & Greet to get to know the dog and the owner. Ask questions about the dog’s habits, needs, and any special characteristics. Make sure to point out that all bookings must always be made through the Liesl app.
